Robert German is a Senior Staff Engineer at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at Rochester Institute of Technology.  GIS provides engineering support to organizations interested in implementing sustainability related technology and methodologies for product or market support. He is responsible for leading project teams in the area of remanufacturing process development, operational assessment of remanufacturing facilities, and assessing the remanfuacturability of products.  He also acts as a resource and participant on projects conducted by the other functional areas within GIS.
 
Mr. German has been working in the field of remanufacturing research for over 13 years. Before joining the center, he was an independent contract consultant in the area of facility planning and production control.  He has also conducted operational assessments of multiple contract remanufacturing facilities located throughout the U.S and Mexico.  
 
Mr. German holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Manufacturing Management and Leadership.  Both degrees are from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.
