Dan Gilbert is Vice President of Worldwide Reverse Logistics at Cisco Systems, Inc. His charter when joining Cisco in 2005 was to define and create a world-class reverse logistics organization. Dan’s global team is responsible for driving excellence in product recovery, receiving, inventory, and recycling operations, and for transforming returned product into value for Cisco shareholders.

Prior to joining Cisco, Dan was Vice President for Customer Service and Quality at Palm, Inc., where he was responsible for global call center operations, repair operations, product quality, and recovery and resale of channel returns. He directed Palm's global call center and repair center restructuring, implemented an integrated approach to channel returns management and resale, and developed processes to drive product quality into design and production.

Before Palm, Dan served as the Director of Delivery Operations for the Webvan Group, where he was responsible for nationwide courier operations and systems. He was previously a management consultant focused on operations and logistics management.

Dan holds a B.S. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and sits on the advisory boards of the Reverse Logistics Association and the Service and Support Professionals Association (SSPA). Dan and his wife Judy reside in Portola Valley, California.
