Heather Bowman joined Hewlett Packard in September of 2004 as a Business Policy Manager with the Americas Product Take Back team for HP. Heather's current responsibilities include electronics recycling advocacy and regulatory compliance across the Americas region as well as at HP's U.S. recycling facilities located in Roseville, CA and Nashville, TN.

Prior to HP, Heather was the Director of Environmental Affairs and Deputy General Counsel at the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) in Arlington, VA. Her responsibilities included trade association compliance issues and managing EIA's Environmental Issues Council. Heather was with EIA for three years and led the industry efforts on its product ecology initiative, including advocacy at the state, federal and international levels. Prior to EIA, she worked for Stevens Law Office, a general practice law firm in Stowe, VT, and she continues to be a member of the Vermont Bar Association. Some of her other relevant experience includes working for the Department of Environmental Conservation in Raybrook, NY, as a legal intern focusing on environmental enforcement issues. Heather also worked on environmental issues for the Attorney General's office and the Office of Solid Waste at the Maryland Department of Environment and served as clerk for the Honorable Nancy B. Shuger in Maryland's District Court.

Heather is a 1998 graduate of Vermont Law School, and she earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Plattsburgh State University in May 1995.
