Herman returned to the Reverse Logistics Service Industry 3 years ago with Sprague Magnetics Europe, this after having made a “pit stop” for 8 years in Product Design as the VP of R&D at BDT AG. BDT AG is a major ODM behind products from HP, Dell, IBM, Xerox, SUN/Oracle, etc. on Storage Automation and Printers.

Prior to this BDT AG period, Herman held several management positions in Service Logistics with Digital Equipment Corp/Compaq, managing the EMEA Repair Centers and WW Quality & Engineering Operations. For 17 years Herman contributed significantly to re-engineering/re-structuring EMEA’s Digital’s Logistics Operation and building WW Process/Quality Engineering functions and capabilities. Before this Digital period Herman worked several HW & SW Design Engineering positions at ITT/SEL and Xerox. Bridging Design Engineering and Reverse Logistics Operations/Engineering over a 37 year experience time span provides an interesting perspective on how to Streamline Reverse Logistics by Design.

Herman holds an Engineering degree in electronics and has several patents from his design day’s and now is a co-owner of Sprague Magnetics Europe”.
