Mr. Howard James Scott joined 7 Hills and Gati in September 2008 in order to design and deliver Supply Chain Solutions in India. He has 25 years of Supply Chain experience prior to moving to India he was the Owner and Director of his own Supply Chain Consultancy Practice working in Mainland, Europe. In his corporate tenure Howard also worked with some of the biggest names in Global Retail and FMCG such as IKEA, Woolworth's & Kingfisher and from an international Supply Chain perspective companies like Maersk, Lego, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki , Syngenta (Agro).

At 51 years Howard has travelled the world with his business appointments and facilitated highly innovative best practice in Supply Chain solutions across a broad range of business sectors. His accreditation to be a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport came as recognition of his hard work and determination to be at the very top of his industry.

Before arriving in India, Howard undertook several short term assignments in the UK mostly driving weak retail Supply Chain to deliver improved performance and productivity to ensure the respective companies were successful in the 'due diligence' process before being sold to Larger Global Organisations. The subsequent sale of the companies was successful and their supply chains where credited as exemplary.

During his time on Mainland Europe Howard took appointments with International Companies such as IKEA, where he was the Senior Executive for Supply Chain in Western Europe, and Syngenta, where he headed the Europe, Africa and Middle East Distribution division.

For many years before joining industry Howard was in the British Army. Howard is a graduate of the Prestigious Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, England and the Royal Military College of Science and as a Post Graduate he studied Quality Management (Supply Chain) and Strategic Options at Sunderland and Reading University Business Schools respectively.

It was as a British Army Officer that Howard began operating in such places as Kuwait, Bosnia, Kosovo and Africa (Darfur & Somalia). Howard resigned his commission and joined industry in the field of International Freight Forwarding at which time he embarked on his very successful business career.

Howard is married to Paula - another Supply Chain professional and has three older children who live in Europe. He has settled into a new life in Hyderabad and brings to 7 Hills and Gati a new and varied set of competencies now leading the division into the future.
