Howard joined eBay in 2002 and runs the Company’s Private Marketplace business which creates customized, private-label auction marketplaces utilizing eBay technology and infrastructure for enterprise-level manufacturers and retailers. In this role, he has overseen the development and management of over a dozen marketplaces for customers like HP, Sam’s Club, Circuit City and the federal government of Mexico. He is currently working with advertisers, agencies and networks to build the Media Marketplace that will bring added efficiency and transparency to the purchase and sale of offline advertising.

Prior to joining eBay, Howard was founder and CEO of a web-based online video service offering its members access to a library of independent films streaming on-demand. Prior to that, he was a venture capitalist investing in branded product manufacturers, business services, retail, restaurants, and e-commerce companies. He holds dual degrees with honors in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Howard currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Reverse Logistics Association.
