
Jack Allen currently serves as Director of Global Supply Chain Processes at Scientific Atlanta. In his role, Jack is responsible for the creation, development and performance of Scientific-Atlanta's supply networks in the United States and internationally. His leadership and commitment to the recent success of several product and distribution center transfers, the development of a cross functional supply chain team and the development of an integrated forecasting/production planning/procurement supply chain planning process resulted in the improvements in Scientific-Atlanta's supply chain and significant annual savings for Scientific-Atlanta.
A seasoned industry veteran boasting more than 18 years of experience with Scientific-Atlanta's Worldwide Manufacturing, Jack's creative and visionary thinking has influenced and pioneered several manufacturing and Supply Chain improvements for Scientific-Atlanta. Throughout his tenure at Scientific-Atlanta, Jack has provided oversight and direction for several critical company initiatives, including the conversion to ECAT manufacturing, the implementation of Scientific-Atlanta's first SMT Fuji line, and the design and implementation of JIT scheduling, layout, and material flow for a production team that positively changed the factory floor and streamlined processes.
Prior to joining Scientific Atlanta, Jack was a top salesman at CSI responsible for securing and managing high profile accounts, including DEC, AT&T, Burroughs (UNISYS), several large hospitals and Hewlett Packard. In addition, he was a founding partner for Corporate Castings, a light jewelry manufacturing and trade shop business that he grew into a regional business servicing customers such as Zales, Sears, JCPenney and Best Products before selling the company and relocating to Atlanta.
Jack was the principal editor and researcher for a National Science Foundation Grant at the University of North Carolina At Wilmington has been recognized both nationally and within the community for his outstanding achievements in both the industry and at Scientific-Atlanta.
Jack graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology.
