Abstract: If you are interested in a new trend in retail reverse logistics or in becoming a partner of The Home Depot in this new initiative then please join this presentation. The Home Depot is looking to develop a consolidation network for various non merchandise items for retail locations in the US. The current state, ideal future state, potential partner characteristics and potential obstacles will be reviewed in this interactive session.

Panel - "RL Best Practices in Recycling" - Las Vegas 2008

Jesse LaRose manages The Home Depot’s Waste Management and Recycling programs. He is responsible for programs to manage and divert from landfills the 2 billion pounds of solid waste that Home Depot’s retail locations produce. Additionally he is responsible for developing a solution to minimize transportation costs of consolidating recyclable materials that leverages the volumes of other non-merchandise items such as pallets, crates and damaged appliances.

Previously Jesse worked for Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. as Operations Manager at Bombardier Aerospace’s North American Distribution Center and in various roles within the Marketing and Sales organizations.

Jesse holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University.
