

Jim
McNeil, CFPIM, CIRM has been in the Operations Management field for over 19
years and is currently Associate Director of Customer Service with Elan Pharmaceuticals
where he manages the Reverse Logistics and Customer Service activities. He
served as the Operations business leader for the integration of Elan’s
San Diego site into their global SAP ERP system. Jim has taught Operations
Management in the MBA program at San Diego State University and currently teaches
the Reverse Logistics course in the Global Supply Chain Management program
with the University of California, San Diego. He has presented numerous times
at local and national APICS levels and will be speaking on Reverse Logistics
at the October 2004 International Conference in San Diego. Jim’s article
on “Developing a Reverse Logistics Strategy” was published in the
July 2004 APICS E-News magazine. Jim was the APICS San Diego Century Chapter
President in the early 1990’s and is also credited with creating the
name, Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), during APICS’ search
for a moniker for the CIRM program.
