Mike Perkins is the Vice President for Distribution and Returns Operations for L.L.Bean, Maine's icon of outdoor heritage and an industry leader known for its famous satisfaction guarantee. A native Mainer and graduate of Idaho State University, Mike has over 25 years of experience in management, merchandising, and distribution having previously worked for Amazon.com and Hannaford Brothers, a major food and drug store chain.

Mike oversees a division of L.L.Bean that has a year round work force of nearly 1400 employees, a number that swells to 3500 during Bean's peak season. His operations division is the lifeline to L.L.Bean's catalog, Internet, factory outlet and retail store network that grossed $1.5 billion in fiscal year 2005.

He serves as a volunteer for the Good Shepherd Food Bank, a Maine-based organization that distributes over 9 million pounds of food to over 500 food pantries, soup kitchens and service groups throughout Maine.
