Ray has been heavily involved within the supply chain for over 25 years. This has been primarily with retailers in the UK and Europe commencing in operational roles managing different aspects of their Supply Chains whether physical operations, vendor management, or technology.
Moving into consulting became a natural progression eventually leading him to become the founder of a specialist supply chain consulting firm which was eventually acquired by CVL. In the course of the last five years Ray has led consulting teams working with major known brands and across Europe and the Middle East.
Leading the supply chain arm of CVL, Ray as one of the joint directors, has developed a strong team that has relationships with major global brands supporting supply chain based projects.
Most recently CVL have worked with Argos, Tesco, Woolworths, BBC, Dyson, Nissan and BT. These projects have varied from supply chain systems selection, programme managing the build of distribution centres, network optimisation, process and operational improvements, reverse logistics, improved forecasting, reduction of inventory, activity based costing, packaging specifications and has developed supply chain models for variable businesses.
