

Thomas Lin currently serves as Deputy Service Head of Wistron Corporation’s Service Business Unit in Taiwan. With over US$3.5B in revenue, Wistron Corporation is a leading ODM providing design, manufacturing and post-manufacturing service support for information and communication technology (ICT) products for branded OEM customers worldwide. At Wistron, Mr Lin directs a variety of service support operations for products from most of the top ten IT branded companies. Wistron Corporation’s service group provides post-manufacturing support for both Wistron-manufactured products, as well as products manufactured by other companies.
Prior to Wistron, Mr Lin was part of the original team responsible for building the post-manufacturing service function at Acer Computers. From 1989 to 2002, Mr Lin helped manage a rapidly expanding global customer service support infrastructure required for the popular Acer brand name computer products. In order to support Acer products across various continents, Mr Lin’s role included regional brand service center setup and development, global technical support process and framework, as well as CRM IT system development and deployment. During this time, the Acer service support infrastructure reached high level of customer satisfaction on par with other leading global PC manufacturers.
In 2002, Acer Computers spun-off the service support group to become Wistron Corporation--Mr Lin helped support the successful transition of the Service group from Acer to Wistron. Mr Lin began joined Acer in 1986 as an engineer supporting in customer HW/SW application development, as well as special customer service projects support in Taiwan. In 1984, Mr Lin received his Engineering Control bachelor degree from National Chiao Tung University.
